Beauceron Rescue Information: The Beauceron is a large, intelligent, protective breed. Beaucerons have a somewhat intimidating appearance and make excellent guard dogs. Beaucerons do okay with children if they are around them from the time they are puppies, but should be supervised with small kids. Beaucerons can be intensely trained for obedience. Beaucerons are very territorial and should be socialized with any other household animals from an early age. Beauceron dogs need a job to do, daily walking, and exercise off of a leash.
Beauceron Trivia: Beaucerons are native to France. The French military has used Beaucerons to detect land mines and run messages. Beaucerons used by the military are not bothered by exploding artillery. Beaucerons may be ancestors of Dobermans. Beaucerons are used in police work and have a reputation as serious working dogs.
